How Tipoff works
Most "deals" are measured against a list price nobody pays. Tipoff measures every deal against what the product actually sells for, and shows you only the ones worth knowing about.
Real savings, not list-price savings
For each product we look at its price history across stores: what it typically sells for, its lowest price in the last 90 days, and its lowest price in the last 12 months. A "40% off" sticker means nothing if the product always sells at that price. When we say you save $100, we mean $100 below its usual street price.
The DealScore
Every deal gets a score out of 100. We publish only deals that score 70 or more.

Your buying rules
Tell Tipoff what you care about and what you won't buy, in plain English: the categories and brands you like, stores you never want to see, new only or refurbished OK, and where products are made. Your feed is then ranked for you, and anything that breaks your rules is hidden. We show you how many deals your rules filtered out, so nothing is hidden silently.

Where it's made
We list three separate facts: where the brand is based, where the product was manufactured, and where it ships from. Manufacturing country is marked Verified (from the label or maker), Likely (strong evidence), or Unknown. We never guess.
How Tipoff makes money
When you buy through a link on Tipoff, the store may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Commissions never change a deal's score: the DealScore is calculated from prices, ratings and store quality only, and stores cannot pay for placement. As an Amazon Associate, Tipoff earns from qualifying purchases.
